Another planetary project. Venus is somewhat tricky from a visual standpoint since it doesn’t actually have that much detail to it, just a rolling mass of uniformly colored clouds. I wanted my version to have details yet stay as close to reality as possible. I think I hit the mark rather nicely.
I started texturing work with some really low resolution NASA mosaic, blew it up to 46k and started painting. And kept on painting for two weeks. Yeah, these things take a while.
