Battlestar Galactica Online
I worked as a freelance modeler on Bigpoint’s Battlestar Galactica Online, a free-to-play MMO based on the wildly successful scifi show. I was tasked with creating three ships for the Colonial rag-tag fleet, which I completed in my spare time during a period of two months.
The game engine set very strict limits with the polycount and textures, which made it tricky to make good looking models and still hold true to the original versions seen in the show. I spent plenty of time in baking details into the texture that I couldn’t afford to model.
